I’ve lost count of how many times I've told myself to exercise more, eat better, or simply sit up straight, only to let time slip away.
Imagine a checklist for a vibrant life. It would surely include eating well, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, and getting enough sleep. While hobbies are essential for joy, prioritizing our health is equally important. When reflecting on our self-care habits, it’s hard to answer with a confident “yes.” Often, we overlook our own needs while juggling family, friends, and work responsibilities. Health tends to fall to the bottom of our priority lists, easily forgotten unless we actively focus on it. However, at Nota, I’ve observed that our team members prioritize self-care even amid their hectic schedules. Let’s dive into how they do it!

Exercise tops the list of essential health habits. With cooler weather upon us, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside and be active. At Nota, fitness is a shared passion. I reached out to a couple of colleagues whose dedication to exercise is inspiring.
Youngwan: "I discovered American football as a college freshman looking for clubs. Initially intimidated by its intensity, I embraced the challenge and found excitement in the game. Now, I’m more focused on weight training and even coach fellow Nota colleagues with my personal training experience and fitness instructor certification."
Youngwan’s commitment is remarkable; he has dabbled in various sports and leads workout groups, eager to share his passion. He believes wholeheartedly in the power of movement, famously stating, "The brain didn’t evolve for thinking; it evolved for movement." This perfectly captures his energy-first philosophy.
Youngeun: "Climbing offers more than just physical exercise. It’s about problem-solving, the thrill of reaching the top, and the camaraderie that forms through encouragement. I started weightlifting to complement my climbing, and now I enjoy both equally. Even on days I lack motivation, the satisfaction I feel post-workout keeps me coming back."
Youngeun embraces a variety of activities like climbing, weightlifting, badminton, freediving, and surfing. Since incorporating exercise into her life, she’s experienced personal growth, crediting her active lifestyle with reducing stress and fostering positivity. Why not explore a new sport yourself?

“Do you like basketball?” is a common greeting at Nota. New hires often receive invites to join the basketball club early on. This club exemplifies Nota’s value of Over Communication, focusing on teamwork and camaraderie while enjoying the game. Indoor or outdoor, we even organize friendly matches with other companies. Once you score that first basket, you’ll find yourself asking, “Do you like basketball?”

Our futsal club may seem intense at first, but it’s all about having a good time. Rain or shine, laughter is the common thread, creating a no-pressure atmosphere filled with positive energy. It’s a fantastic way to boost your stamina while building strong bonds with teammates. After a lively two-hour session, the team often refuels together, and as the club grows, plans are in motion for full 11-on-11 soccer matches!

The climbing club aspires to tackle outdoor rock climbing someday. Climbing combines strength, strategy, and self-awareness. It requires understanding your limits and making thoughtful decisions about your next move. With color-coded holds representing various routes and challenges, watching Nota members support each other is nothing short of inspiring. After a solid workout, don’t overlook your vitamins. Nota’s snack bar features a smart device that allows you to mix and match vitamins based on how you’re feeling each day. As lunch wraps up, many Nota employees gather at the snack bar for their daily vitamin boost, turning the space into a vibrant hub for discussions on health and well-being.
