Nota recently experienced an important milestone with its IPO. Just as many small events shape a person, a company is also formed through a series of moments, not only big achievements.
For this reason, the story of today's Nota cannot be explained by the IPO alone. We wanted to focus on the people who have built and remembered this place. As we reflected on our journey and faced a new beginning, we became curious about those who work with passion, feel connected to one another, and say that their colleagues are the greatest part of their experience here.
We decided to ask them:
"What does Nota mean to you" "What are the people at Nota like"
We met with several team members to hear about their experiences, their growth, and the influence Nota has had on them.
Here begins the story of Nota told through its people.
ㅣFrom the Early Days to Now
Hello, could you briefly introduce yourself?
Hello! I’m Min-Yong Kim from People & Culture team, and this is my sixth year at Nota.

Six years is quite a long time. What has been the most memorable aspect of your journey so far?
The IPO day stands out the most. I still remember our c-levels wearing bright red outfits.
Is there a particular moment from the journey to the IPO that remains vivid for you?
Since I joined when Nota was still small and many things were unclear, we had many debates. We discussed direction, how to work, and many issues that sometimes felt like arguments. I remember a day when we worked from a café and debated all morning, after lunch, and again after dinner. That entire day of discussion remains especially memorable.

How do you think Nota has influenced you?
My approach to work changed a lot. I am normally very cautious and tend to check things repeatedly, which fits the HR field because it requires careful judgment. But at Nota, instead of emphasizing skepticism, I learned how to trust people and lead with positivity. I learned how to support others in a constructive way.
Who influenced you the most in that process?
It was Myungsu. My first conversation with him played a big role in my decision to join. Over the years, I kept observing whether his rational and consistent approach stayed the same, and it usually did. That made me think I could continue working here and give my best, which led me to where I am now.
ㅣLearning to Trust People at Nota
If you had to describe Nota in one word, what would it be?
An opportunity. It was my first chance to take the lead in HR work, try things unusual in other industries, and learn through trial and error. It was also a place where I could grow.
What kind of colleague do you hope to be?
Ideally someone who can do many things well, but since that is difficult, I would be happy being a colleague who helps others sincerely.

Before we close, is there anything you would like to say to the colleagues you have worked with so far?
Looking back, I sometimes think I should have argued less. I could have waited more, refined my thoughts, and insisted less. Some colleagues I valued may have grown distant, and I feel some regret about that. But I have always done my best and will continue to do so. I hope we can keep going far together. Thank you.

Min-Yong shared many moments from Nota’s early days, from intense debates shaping the direction of the company to the lessons he learned about trust and positive leadership. His six years of experience have shaped both himself and the organization.
As someone who has led the People & Culture team and observed the company closely, his perspective invites us to think about the future direction of Nota. Just as he hopes, we look forward to seeing Nota continue to grow with its people over the next decade.
