Since 2018, Nota has grown from having only two members of staff, to over eighty in 2022. Nota dreams of creating a world of widespread AI optimization, and decided to move to a new location to bring that goal closer to fruition. It is an exciting move, and one we are glad to share with you.
In the past, the Nota office was divided over four floors, but now everyone is gathered together in the same space. Now, all members of staff can happily work side by side with an aligned vision for the future.
1. The new lounge.
One of the factors we were most mindful of when relocating was finding a space that would facilitate natural conversations. At Nota, we believe communication is key, working in an office of casual free flowing conversation benefits everyone and promotes a friendly ambience. We decorated an expansive lounge with coffee machines, snacks and comfortable sofas and chairs. Whenever you want to step away for a moment, to refresh or have a chat, the lounge is waiting.
For the inevitable moments when you need some time alone, we created several cozy private stalls in the vein of an airport business-class lounge. Attractive green plants are decorated nearby to add to the atmosphere, we want people to feel calm and serene. Sitting here you are free to be alone with your own thoughts, to read, to work, or simply relax.
Not long after moving into the new office, our 7-year anniversary event was held. Everyone from Berlin to Daejeon came together to celebrate, sharing cakes and refreshments.

2. An expansive open office space where we work together.
Prior to the move, our number of employees rapidly accelerated, and we had to house some of them on separate floors. It was a regrettable time; we felt disconnected and it was often difficult to see the faces of some of our colleagues on day-to-day basis. The most beneficial aspect of moving is that everyone is now able to work together on the same floor. We are far enough apart to work undisturbed, but close enough to turn around and chat when we want to have a discussion. It is a perfect balance.
We prepared adjustable desks for all company members because we believe that good posture improves work efficiency. When you need to talk while looking at the monitor, raise the height of the desk; when you need to work on documents for an extended period of time, lower the height!
At the end of the conference rooms, past the walls of books, you will find the VIP room. To make our visitors feel at home, it was decorated like a cozy café. Here you can learn all about Nota. There are videos to watch, brochures to read, and a nice comfortable couch to relax.

3. New meeting rooms inspired by our leadership principles.
Business is hard work, and important long form meetings often need to take place. With this in mind, we established several new conference rooms. The names of the rooms are taken directly from Nota's eight leadership principles. They can be used after making a reservation through Google Calendar. For example, the People & Culture team meeting is scheduled to take place in the Ownership room every Monday at 4pm!
Just as in life, not everything in business goes to plan, and sometimes appointments are missed or impossible to schedule. In times like these, the Over Deliver meeting room is free to use, providing it is empty! Some of our most fruitful work and heated debates have happened there. Looking through the glass, you will often see intense discussions playing out, and though you can't hear what's going on, you can admire the passion from afar.

4. Nota, up for change
Lastly, to celebrate the move, and as a recognition of everyone's hard work, a small but special gift was given to every Nota members.
This letter details Nota's journey from the 6-pyeong office in the KAIST School of Computing building to the 300-pyeong office, as well as how grateful Nota's early members are for the company's growth and crew members. The letter was placed on each Nota crew member's desk.
As pictured above, a short letter of gratitude was enclosed, with messages from CEO Myungsu, and CTO Tae-Ho. A pair of slippers were also gifted, emblazoned with the phrase 'Over Communication', inspired from Nota's own company leadership principles. The gift was prepared by the People & Culture team, who even had to find out each individual's shoe size in advance!
So, now you know how we are taking advantage of our new office. We hope you will follow our progress, and witness the great things that Nota will accomplish in the future!
